LUCIANO VECCHIO INTERVIEW AND BEWARE THE BATMAN #4

It must be Batman day here, lol, not only does SENTINELS artist, Luciano Vecchio, have a really insightful and interesting interview about his work on Beware the Batman, but issue #4 with Luciano's art in is out in stores today! Check out the interview here and then go to your local comic shop and pick up the issue!

BATMAN PANEL STYLE ART PRINT

Since I've already drawn WW and Supes, I wanted to finish the "big 3" and added Batman to my new panel style art prints that I'll have for the 2014 convention season. Of course, this wouldn't look good at all without the amazing colors by Danielle Alexis St. Pierre!

BUGGED REVIEWED ON COMIC BOOK RESOURCES!

I didn't see this review for BUGGED on Comic Book Resources until late last night. The reviewer, Greg Burgas, liked the book, but also didn't like parts of it. I enjoyed reading his review and the insights he had on it. I also liked that he and another person who commented on the reply thread, both took a chance on BUGGED and were interested in it on their own.  :)

SUPERMAN PANEL STYLE ART PRINT

Here's another of my new panel style art prints that I'll have for the 2014 convention season. I decided to draw Superman in his new updated costume. The soon-to-be famous and colorist of NEVERMINDS, Danielle Alexis St. Pierre, colored this for me and made it look so good. Thanks, Danielle!

PHAZER FIGURINE PROTOTYPE!

Our first surprise for 2014 is that while we were waiting for Drumfish's 3rd set of figurines (Nina and Splash) to be completed (and they almost are!), the company made a deal with us to do an extra figurine! Here is the first look at Phazer from SENTINELS!
This is just the initial sculpt and we have things we want changed, but we think he'll be an excellent addition to the Drumfish figurines. We know he has a lot of fans, so he was a natural choice for the fourth SENTINELS character to be made. We hope you all like!

HAPPY NEW YEAR!

Happy New Year! I hope everyone is having a great beginning to 2014!
I wanted to take this moment to thank all of you who read this for your support and encouragement through 2013. We feel like we ended 2013 on a high note and we couldn't have done it without you. NEVERMINDS and BUGGED have been getting great reviews, we'll be releasing our third set of Drumfish figurines soon and we'll be making a announcement regarding the re-visioned SENTINELS colorized version we've been talking about for so long and the long await SENTINELS Anthology #2. In addition to that, we have a few other projects (including my long mentioned web-comic). But I've learned to keep my mouth shut a little more until we're ready to actually put stuff out there from now on, lol. We're also almost at 1000 likes on our Facebook page which is very nice.

And speaking of nice, my partner in crime on SENTINELS, Luciano Vecchio's latest issue of Beware the Batman (issue #3) just came out today! I highly recommend picking it up at your local comic store. It's all ages.  :)

I also wanted to take this moment to mention Stan Sakai, the creator of the long running independent hit, Usagi Yojimbo. Stan is an icon in the independent comic community and he is in need of help. His wife is ill and they are in need of assistance to pay for her medical bills. They are asking for artists to donate artwork to be auctioned off (below is artwork that I donated) or if you're not an artist, then any financial donation would be helpful. To make things even worse, just before New Years, Stan 20 month old grandson passed away. I'm sorry to report this sad news, but I believe it needs to be mentioned to as many people as possible. At this time of year, when we are all making statements of hopes and desires for 2014, it's also important for us remember to help each other. Please see the following link for more information on how to help Stan and his family.

I wish everyone a healthy, happy, productive and amazing new year!!
