It's Tuesday, so we're happy to post a new page for our webcomic, KOWA! Check out page 3, written and drawn by me (Rich Bernatovech) and colored by Ihor Loboda! See the completed page at www.kowacomic.com
Today I begin a new chapter in my artistic journey and launch my first webcomic, KOWA!
For over a year now, I've been developing and working on this and I'm really excited to get it out in the world.
It's an all-ages, free online comic that I hope everyone will enjoy and relate to, regardless of race, sec, age or sexuality.
I know it's going to be tough and that I've never done anything like this, but I love a challenge! My goal is to post a new page each week (on Tuesdays). Written and drawn by me, I'm joined by the uber-talented, Ihor Loboda, on colors. I love what he is doing and I couldn't do this without him! I hope you all reading this will join me and share the comic with everyone you know. I'm nervous, but also proud to start this project! The website has started (with more to be added soon!) and the first page is up. Check it out (and bookmark the site!) at www.kowacomic.com
I'm happy to announce that issue 8 of the re-visioned and colorized version of SENTINELS is available for digital download on Comixology! This latest issue completes what was originally Book 1: Footsteps of the the SENTINELS ogn series. The issue is full of revelations and action! Written by me (Rich Bernatovech) and drawn by Lucaino Vecchio, we're joined once again by Ihor Loboda, who brings amazing new life to SENTINELS with his incredible coloring. Please support and check out this issue at http://bit.ly/2f87jok
We love working with new artists/creators and especially love the DeviantArt community. We still believe it's a great place to showcase your art and surround yourself in a positive community for all artists. As such, we have held a few art contests for Drumfish Productions on there to help support that community. And we're happy to announce that we're doing our 6th Art Contest for Drumfish Productions on there now! So, if you're an artist and want to join in or know any artists that you think might be interested, go check out the details and share the info on the contest!! We've always had great response to our contests and we're excited to see what people come up with this year! Best of luck to everyone!
As the launch of our free all-ages webcomic, KOWA, approaches, we're jumping back into showing some of the characters from the series. Here are Kowa's parents, Ahtan and Naira. Athan is the leader of the tribe. Strong and focused, his most important goal is to protect his family and tribe frm anything that might harm them. Naira is calm and compassionate. She is the mother of three and often the voice of reason among the tribe.
Meet Rynes, another character from our new all-ages, free webcomic, KOWA, launching soon.
Much to the disappointment of both her mothers, Rynes is the apprentice to the magical advisor within her tribe. But just because she's as headstrong and stubborn as them, it doesn't mean she wants to follow their warrior lifestyle. She believes there are other ways to get results rather then fighting.

I'm very proud to share the cover for the October 2016 issue of W42ST Magazine that I drew with colors by Ihor Loboda! It's the Halloween/New York Comic Con issue and we designed a cover
that represents both of those things and is also Hell's Kitchen focused.
Huge thanks to Ruth Walker for giving us the chance to do this!
Continuing to introduce characters from our all-ages, free webcomic, KOWA, here is Hondu.
Often the voice of reason, who unwillingly gets pulled into Kowa's problems, Hondu is loyal, honest and clever. And though he may not be as tough and adventurous as his best friend, kowa, he's always there to defend him!

know it's been a bit longer than we planned, but I'm happy to announce
that the re-visioned and colorized version of SENTINELS #8 is now
lettered and complete! We'll be sending the issue to Comixology and let
everyone know when it's available on the site there. This issue
completes what was the final chapter of the original graphic novel,
Sentinels Book 1: Footsteps. We've come a long way since then and it's
amazing to be able to re-release these with amazing new color by Ihor
Loboda! He really gives new life to the work Luciano Vecchio and I did
all those years ago.
Here's a few page comparisons with the original black and white page
and the new colorized page to show how different they look!
KOWA is our second new title launching soon. KOWA is written and drawn by me (Rich Bernatovech) and colored by the always amazing, Ihor Loboda! The series is an free, all-ages webcomic that will be updated weekly with a new page. Like BLESSED SONS, this is a different type of work than we have done in the past and we hope to bring in a whole new generation of readers with it. Take a peek at a small panel and just see how different the characters are!
BLESSED SONS, written by Rich Bernatovech and drawn by Ihor Loboda, is our next series that will begin later this year! The series is different than any of our other titles and has a more supernatural and mysterious vibe to it. I know the artwork by Ihor Loboda is going to wow people and we can't wait to hear the reactions! For now though, here are a few sketches of the cast drawn by the talented, Ihor Loboda!
Every now and then I stubble across a review for one of our Drumfish Productions titles. I love finding them and have to admit that the ones for BUGGED are always very cool. I recently saw this one for BUGGED, written by Jim Lesniak and done by a magazine called Morpheus Tales, which appears to be a horror genre magazine. The review is interestingly written and positive! I'm glad they liked the work Teyo and I did!
These cards of Templar from SENTINELS were drawn by Luciano Vecchio and were part of a trading card set from David Ryan's War of the Independents comic series. I have a bunch of them and I'm happy to mail a card out to anyone who wants one. All you have to do in return is post some kind words on our store site for one of our books or products. Just go to the store, pick somehting you enjoyed and comment on it. Then message me your address privately!
Drumfish Productions will at MEGACON in Orlando, Florida
next weekend (May 26 – 29) in Artist Alley at table A311. We will have copies
of our second SENTINELS Anthology at the show for the first time, Jamie Fay and
I will have original art and prints for sale and Jamie will be doing
commissions at the show! If anyone is interested in any of the Drumfish
figurines, please message me ASAP because we will not be bringing down any extra
copies. We will only be bringing pre-ordered figurines due to limited transportation
space. If you’re at the show, stop by and say hello! We look forward to seeing all
the awesome friends and fans we know down there!
I only got one sketch while at the 2016 Great Philadelphia Comic Con, but it was an awesome one! Jay P. Fosgitt is an amazing artist and nice guy and I was happy he was able to do this sketch for me. Jay draws My Little Phony for IDW as well as his creator owned series, Brodie Troll. I really love his style and line work. He did an excellent job capturing the title character from KOWA and Cascade from SENTINELS. Please check out more of Jay's work at www.jayfosgitt.com
This AMAZING portrait of Harlette from SENTINELS was done by Micha Vom Wald! Micha was a winner on one of our Drumfish DeviantArt Contests and then went on to do work for us in the 2nd SENTINELS Anthology! I love Micha's work and you can see how crazy talented he is. Please check out more of his art at www.micha-vom-wald.deviantart.com.
I'm proud to announce that I'll be at the Great Philadelphia Comic Con from April 22 to 24 as a guest along with NEVERMINDS artist, Jamie Fay!
Jamie and I each did artwork for the show (with amazing colors by Ihor Loboda!). I'm excited for this show because the convention is in my home state and near where I went to art school. Any local PA friends should check it out because it's right in the King of Prussia area and should be fun. Check out the website for more information at www.philadelphiacomiccon.com.
Thanks to Chris, Stan and company for having us at the show and special thanks to Bryan Glass for bringing the show to our attention.
For my exclusive print for the show, I drew special guest of the show, Amy Jo Johnson as the Pink Power Ranger! Amy does very few convention appearances, so it was an honor to draw her. Big thanks for the awesome coloring by the ever-talented, Ihor Loboda!
Back in February, Jamie Fay and I both had birthdays and Ihor Loboda surprised us each with artwork! For me, he drew Sin from SENTINELS! And for Jamie, he drew Paige from NEVERMINDS! We loved both of them and wanted to share these excellent gifts! Check out more of Ihor's work at www.igloinor.deviantart.com
It's been a while since I updated the blog here, but that doesn't mean there's nothing going on. I'll be posting some news and some convention appearances soon. But in the meanwhile, I've branched out a bit with my Panel Prints and decided to do some Drumfish Productions characters! Here are Templar from SENTINELS, Alanis from NEVERMINDS and Felix (with Bob) from BUGGED! The Alanis Panel Print was a Christmas present for Jamie Fay. I did a lot of personal panel prints in December and more of them can be seen on my DeviantArt page.
