I did all the JLA cards I previously posted as sort of a warm-up to this JLA pic I did. It's the classic satellite area Justice League. I wanted to start doing some nicer pieces, so this is the first.

I've been super busy finishing up things for this month's Pittsburgh Comic Con and I hope to show some new stuff soon. In addition to the stuff for Pittsburgh, Luciano and I are playing with the idea of a colorized SENTINELS series. Here are some more. I'm loving them!

COMIC CON ON MONSTER ISLAND

Since it's April Fool's Day, I figure the timing was good to show this little promo pic of the funny book I'm doing with other creators for this month's Pittsburgh Comic Con. It's a joint project between myself, Jamie Fay, Rey Arzeno, Mikey Woods, Kristin Ross and Al Dorantes. We're having a blast with it and are almost finished everything. I think it's pretty funny and hope that it does well at the Con. I'll post more on it soon. :)

I had done these JLA sketch cards last week, but just realized I forgot to post them. I decided to do some JLA members in preparation for a pic of the JLA I'm working on that I hope to have finished next week. These were a lot of fun to do.

MORE SENTINELS REVISIONS

EVEN MORE COLORIZED SENTINELS

Luciano is really having fun with these "revisioned" SENTINELS. Mainly it's their looks from Book 1 that is being revamped and it's with the idea of perhaps one day having the book in color. I really love them and think they bring a freshness to them.

Here are some of the other "revisioned" SENTINELS that Luciano came up with. I think it's pretty interesting to see how different the characters look and feel with some color changes and a few little added elements.

I thought these new colored re-imaginings by Luciano would be interesting to see. We might have plans for them. Thoughts???

TEMPLAR BY DAXIONG GUO

This sketch of Templar in his costume from SENTINELS Book 4, was done by Daxiong Guo. I found Daxiong at a table away from all the other artists at the last NY Con I went to. I don't know why he was hidden where he was, but I saw his style and thought it had real energy to it. I love his use of color and line work. TECHNO MARY BY ANDY MACDONALD

What can I say about Andy MacDonald that I haven't already said? The guy's amazing. I don't think I've ever seen a sketch by him that has been impressive. I love that Andy drew one the lesser known characters in SENTINELS this time and decided to draw Techno Mary. I think he did her perfectly and put a ton of detail he put into her costume. I really like it!

Here are a few more X-Character sketch cards I did recently. I think I'm ready to switch it up and try some other characters. I'll come back tot he X-Men later and do more of them, but the mutants have burnt me out, lol.

SKETCH BOOK COVER!!

I'm proud to announce my first sketch book will be finished and available soon! I worked hard all of last year to try to develop and improve my art. Most of you who follow me on here know that I did a "sketch a day" throughout the year and I really think you can see the improvement and changes my art went through. I plan to sell my sketch book at conventions and online for only $10. I', not exactly sure of the page count just yet, but I think it'll be about 160 and in black and white. I had the talented Luciano Vecchio work the cover magic you see above and I think it looks amazing! I can't tell you how happy I am with it. I hope everyone will like it! Thanks again for the help, Luciano!

POISON IVY COLORED VERSION

The ever-talented, Luciano Vecchio, did this beautiful colored version of my last sketch from my "Sketch A Day" project, Poison Ivy! I love the way he colored her. So much so, that I decided to use her as the center of my sketch book cover (see above!). Thank you so much, Luciano!!!!

FIREBOMB AND TEMPLAR BY NICOLAS R. GIACONDINO

Since I just had my b-day last weekend, I was given some great gifts and wanted to share these two amazing pieces of art that Jamie Fay commissioned for me. Templar and Firebomb, in their costumes from SENTINELS Book 4: Hope, were drawn by Nicolas R. Giacondino. Nicolas uses markers with a such ease that it's hard to believe they are just markers, especially considering theses are about 4" x 7". I think he captured the energy of the characters perfectly.
