HEADSHOT SKETCHES

I've been a bit behind on posting some art that I've done, so here are a TON of headshots from the last few months.

NEW WEBSITE AND ART!

Our new Drumfish Production website has been up for a few weeks. I hope by now people have had a chance to check it out and see what they think. We still have a lot of work to do for it, but it's getting done! Last week we updated and added a few bios for the chracters pages on the Sentinels and Neverminds pages. All of the main Sentinels team members have complete bios and four Neverminds members have bios on their page. The creator pages for all titles have now been competely too! Feel free to read them at www.drumfishproductions.com .

And an added bonus! Get a preview of Yemenja's (Mai) look in the real world and learn her origin story early by checking out her bio on the website. Here is her amazing bio art drawn by Jamie Fay and colored by Danielle Alexis St. Pierre!

And don't forget to follow us on Facebook at https://www.facebook.com/pages/Drumfish-Productions/117660288272651

MORE ART!

Here are a few more of the character square drawings I've been getting at different conventions.

This drawing of Phazer from SENTINELS was done by super cool artist, Meg Daunting and colored with copic markers by NEVERMINDS artist, Jamie Fay! This is part of a big grouping of all the Drumfish characters that is being done. When I saw Meg's art, I knew she'd draw a kickass version of Phazer and she didn't disappoint!

Who else could I get to draw the SENTINELS main bad girl, Rapture, other than Rhiannon Owens! Those of you that know her, know this is a perfect match-up! Rhiannon is amazing at who ever she draws and once again she did not disappoint! Gotta love this one.

This drawing of Nina from NEVERMINDS and Firebomb from SENTINELS were done by NEVERMINDS colorist extraordinary, Danielle Alexis St. Pierre! This is part of a big grouping of all the Drumfish characters that is being done. And of course, I had to have Danielle draw a character from both SENTINELS and NEVERMINDS. They both turned out great!

NEVERMINDS BY LUCKAS ACKERMAN AND DAVID DELANTY

This picture of the main NEVERMINDS team was drawn by Lucas Ackerman and colored David Delanty. Samanya, Nina and Alanis look awesome. But then what can you expect from talents like Lucas and David. Check out more of Lucas's art at www.lucasackerman.deviantart.com and see more of David's art at www.vest.deviantart.com .

WAY BEHIND ON POSTING ON THE BLOG!

Wow! I have really been way behind on posting on the blog here. I've been mainly updating on the Drumfish Productions Facebook page https://www.facebook.com/pages/Drumfish-Productions/117660288272651 , but that doesn't mean that I should neglect this page! Sorry about that!

I have a bunch of catching up to do, so here we go....

Here are the last two ads that ran last week and this week on Comic Related www.comicrelated.com .

Here are the Sentinels leader, Templar, drawn by Luciano Vecchio and the Neverminds field leader, Samanya, drawn by Jamie Fay!

WIZARD WORLD PHILLY AND HEROES CON!

This coming weekend (May 31, June 1 and 2) I'll be at the 2013 Wizard World Philly Con along with Neverminds artist, Jamie Fay. We'll be in Artist Alley at table number 2067.

And then the following weekend (June 7-9) we'll be at the 2013 Heroes Con! We've been trying to do this convention for a few years, but each year something came up that prevented us from going. But we've excited to be at the show that everyone raves about for the first time! We'll be in Artist Alley at table AA 205!

For those of you going to either show and want a commission or one of the Drumfish figurines, please note me ASAP!
We only plant to take display copies of the figurines unless someone orders orders one for pick-up in advance.
Commissions at the show are more, but if you are interested in a pre-show commission there is a discount and I can have it ready for pick-up at the show. Just note me for details! (but please do it soon as I'm getting booked up).
We'll be selling copies of all of the Drumfish Productions' titles, SENTINELS and NEVERMINDS and have a preview of the soon-to-be-released, BUGGED!

I look forward to seeing everyone that we've gotten to know over the year at Philly and excited to meet new fans at Heroes! Please stop by and say hello!!

-Rich

MORE COMIC RELATED ADS!

I mentioned on here a few weeks ago that we would have some ads running on the website www.comicrelated.com and I forgot to post the ads tat have run on the blog here (Sorry!). So, here they are!

SPLASH AND NINA FIGURINE PROTOTYPES

Here are the first prototypes for the 3rd set of Drumfish Productions figurines of Nina from NEVERMINDS (designed by Jamie Fay) and Splash from SENTINELS (designed by Luciano Vecchio). They just might be our best figurines yet!  :)

SENTINELS ANTHOLOGY #2 PREVIEW

Here's a sneak preview of Al Dorantes and Gene Kelly's contribution to the 2nd Sentinels Anthology! They nailed it out of the park with their story. Thanks, guys! I can't wait to show more! Soon...

FIRST AD ON COMIC RELATED!

Our ad is running this week on www.comicrelated.com ! We'll be running a few ads here for a few weeks (changing every week). This first one features Electron from SENTINELS drawn by Luciano Vecchio!

DRUMFISH PRODUCTIONS WEBSITE IS LIVE!

Today we went LIVE with the Drumfish Productions website!!

It's still a work in progress, but check it out at www.drumfishproductions.com . We're really proud to finally get it out there for the public to view. We plan on adding many fun and interactive things to the site as we build it up. We decided to go live even though we still have work to do because starting today we're also running an ad on Comic Related's website! Thanks to Noel Short for building the site and putting up with all my emails and phone calls! And thanks to Jamie Fay for preparing all the design/art! You guys are the best!!!

I also finally set up a twitter account that you can follow at www.twitter.com/DrumfishRich

BOSTON COMICON THIS WEEKEND!

I know this is a late announcement, but in light of events in Boston, we weren't sure what would be happening this weekend. I'm happy to say though, that I will be at the 2013 Boston Comicon along with NEVERMINDS artist, Jamie Fay. We hope that by the covention deciding not to cancel the show and going forward with the it, that it brings out a lot of comic fans who, like us, want to bring some positive energy to a city that really needs it right now. If you plan to attend the show, please stop by Artist Alley and say hello to us at table AA122. We hope to see you all there!

2013 MEGACON THANK YOU AND SOME ART!

It's been an extremely busy time here as I'm working on NEVERMINDS #4, the 2nd SENTINELS Anthology and lettering the final pages of BUGGED all at the same time! Yes, I said lettering the final pages of BUGGED!!! It's actually almost finished and will be off to the printers soon. I will announce a release date shortly. But more on that (and eveything else!) later.

I'm really late posting something about the 2013 Megacon show that I attended last month and I didn't want to not say something, because we had such a great crowd of people who came buy and supported us by buying books, prints and/or original art. I really want all of them to know how much we appreciate it. We had a blast at the show and can't wait to return. I did get severely sunburned right before the show started though, so I hope I didn't scare too many people off, lol.

Megacon is such a friendly and positive show that I wish I lived closer and could go every year. We've been averaging going there every other year now. Maybe we will have to change that though, because I sold out of all the SENTINELS books I had and most of our NEVERMINDS stock. For the first time, we didn't have to have our buddies Todd and David (who live in Florida and help us with getting our books to the show) take any books home with them!

I was at Megacon with NEVERMINDS artist extraordinary, Jamie Fay, and at the table right next to us was our favorite super-colorist, Danielle Alexis St. Pierre. Danielle had her own table along with her husband, Nathan, and the two of them premiered the first issue of their book Sin of Omniscience. People really seemed to be into their book and I personally can't wait for issue #2!

I was surprised by how well my art also sold at the show and I was able to do a number of commission for people. Below are some pictures of them.

I promise to post a more detailed Con report for the rest of the show we do this year and also do them sooner! Next up is the Boston Comicon next weekend!

DREAM WEAVER ART

Here is my contribution to "Dream Weaver", a special fund raiser for Geeksout that features Sigourney Weaver in any or all of her looks in any of her movies. I picked Ripley from Aliens, of course, lol. I owed my buddy, Josh Siegel, for all the amazing art he's been doing for his story in the second Sentinels Anthology, so I had to make sure I did this. I can't wait to show some previews of Josh's story soon! This was done with Prismacolor markers and microns.

TEMPLAR IN "WAR OF THE INDEPENDENTS" PROMO AND WHO'S WHO

Back in 2005, when we had just published SENTINELS Book 2: Masks, Dave Ryan asked me if I was interested in being part of his mega-crossover "War of the Independents". I immediately said yes and Templar appeared (in his SENTINELS Book 2 look) in issue one of "War of the Independents" in the huge group shot of the issue. Fast forward a bit and we completed the SENTINELS series, but Templar hadn't yet made another appearance in "War of the Independents". I spoke with Dave and he reported that he was scheduled to appear in issue #6 (issue #3 was the latest to come out). Then this promo image appeared online and it was very cool to see Templar (now in his SENTINELS Book 4 look) on the image. He can be seen near the bottom of the page with his sword over the "R" in the word "WAR".

Dave decided to do a "Who's Who" in the "War of the Independents" and Luciano Vecchio and I decided to use the re-visioned colors for Templar's entry here.

These bio pages for the "Who's Who" have inspired me to update all of the Drumfish characters in a similar style for the new Drumfish Productions website we're working on.  More soon!!

SOME ART TO SHOW!

I've been really bad at updating this blog regularly. I've been keeping up with things on the Drumfish Production Facebook page, but I often forget to post here. Sorry about that!
Megacon wiped me out! I'll post a report in a few days, but it was a great show. Thanks to everyone who stopped by and said hello.  :)
In the meanwhile, he is some amazing art by a few very talented artists!
First up is a sketch of Crusher from SENTINELS. This sketch was drawn by Bernce and is a character study done in preparation for the Crusher story in the second SENTINELS ANTHOLOGY that we are working on. As we get closer to having the book complete, I'll post more art and info. But for now, I hope this peek at how talented Bernce is, we be okay. Check out his page on deviantArt here.

Next up is an amazing group shot of the main NEVERMINDS team drawn by Ivan Camelo. Ivan has a really cute art style that I think is very unique. But don't take my word for it, check it out more of his art here.
