SKETCH A DAY 41: SILVER SURFER

I really don't know much about the Silver Surfer, but I wanted to give a try at drawing him anyway. I like the whole cosmic aspect of him and how he travels through the cosmos on a surf board, lol. He was fun to draw and I think the space in the background really adds to him. Doing more full sketches like this takes more time than the others I've done. I'm going to have to get faster if I want to do more like this and still keep up my pace, lol.

Wow very nice, how'd you do that background? You did really good on making him appear shiny. I still think you need to do more of the non-Big Two characters.

Great to see you branching out with stuff like this. Well done.

Thanks, Keefer. I did the background in regular inks and then went in a little and added some of the stars on photoshop. I'm trying to do a mix of characters, some from everywhere. It's just easy sometimes when you don't have the chance to get reference pics to do a character from the big two. I remember most of those costumes.

Thanks, Philip! I gotta do a Quantum sketch soon. :)

Thanks, Noel. I did the background on paper then I went in on Photoshop and added some more stars. I learned when I drew Troia a while back, that doing the stars in white on black doesn't really translate when you scan it. Sure, it looks good on paper, but it loses detail when you scan.
Drawing my own book someday? Hmmm, lol, that might just be the plan in a year. :)
